The "1979" date on this poster has had me scratching my head for the past week.
At first I had just assumed the series took place in more or less the modern day, but if that's the case, then Secret Agent looks like he hasn't aged a DAY in the last 44 YEARS since this photo was taken (he'd have to be AT LEAST in his 60s by now). So unless the Secret Agent is somehow immortal (which could explain a couple things tbh), this just opens up a whole can of worms trying to figure out WHEN this series takes place.
My initial thought was, well, maybe it takes place in the 1980s. That would explain a few things: Secret Agent's youth, why the Speakermen mostly play 80s music, and how they turned Michael Jackson into a Toilet despite his death in 2009. However, this idea quickly falls apart when you realize the following ALSO exist in the Skibidi universe:
—Ep 25, "A Pain That I'm Used To" by Depeche Mode, 2005 —Ep 33, YouTube, 2005 (2006 if that's supposed to be the Headquarters) —Ep 61, MoistCr1TiKaL, 2007 —Ep 68, Walter and Jesse from "Breaking Bad," 2008 —Ep 6, "Bloody Mary" by Lady Gaga, 2011 (and DJ Toilet was of course just confirmed canon)
And those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head lol
I'm absolutely sure I'm overthinking this, but I think it's fun to think about anyway so screw it 🤷♀️ What do you guys think? At this point I'm just inclined to believe Secret Agent is immortal or smth rofl
