When you move here and change your license over within the first 30 days, you assess your vehicle(s) and get arkansas tags. After a year, you will owe property tax to the state on that vehicle(s). The tax bill is mailed out every March/April and due around October I believe. The dollar amount of the tax is a percentage based on the value of your car. Tax owed is about 6% on 20% of the value. Kinda confusing but the tax office can let you know how much it will be if you ask.
