Looking to visit Denver June 2nd-6th.
I've been reading that downtown Denver kinda went downhill since Covid and there's a lot of homeless. Should I avoid getting a hotel in that area and look elsewhere?
If so, where? And would it be better to look into an AirBnB?
It will just be my wife and I.

Second time in Denver with Kid
Boulder is great for food and shopping and pretty easy to get around, but longer than 30 to 40 minutes to get to the airport. Cherry Creek is Denver's upscale shopping district. Not much quaint about it as most of the established businesses have been priced out, but they still have some good restaurants.
Other areas in Denver with good access to the airport, with good shopping , a local vibe, kid friendly activities, and good food include:
-
Tennyson St
-
The Highlands
-
South Pearl St
-
Washington Park (a bit more spread out in terms of shopping then the above three, but it's a great park. Gaylord St is a nice neighborhood shopping street)
-
Stanley Marketplace
Probably best to look at airbnbs in those areas, hotels for Boulder and Cherry Creek.
