Many of us have multiple bank accounts. For example for one account we need a bank with a convenient local branch for those not too common transactions when we need to withdraw or deposit a significant amount of cash. Money, contracts, negotiations. Fees are obviously a big factor. Interchange fees, the fees paid by merchants to accept cards, are set by the payment processors and can vary depending on how aggressive the processor is to expanding its availability or raising its per-transaction revenue. Sometimes, they can get too aggressive in attracting merchants and set fees so low, they end up upsetting bank partners, causing some banks to make moves away from them (see the Costco deal). They can set fees high to attract bank partners, but end up scaring away merchants. I believe visa is most common. In my minimal wallet I’d like to just carry my bcp, a visa atm, and visa credit card. I would carry the discover and master card in a secondary wallet that I would carry only if I want to or feel the need. Ty

Most banks don't have this feature or have discontinued this features. You'd want to do this to get any rewards your debit card might offer. From my research I've found that amex and Citi no longer offer this feature over the phone. Chase allowed it but only if you go in branch. Capital one does allow it with some cards for some users. Credit one allows it for their mercury. Target allows it if you pay at their return kiosk. And that's all I know. And these banks don't accept discover debit card. Are there any other banks?
