What model of phone do you use, and does your wireless charging pad work? I upgraded/downsized my phone from an iPhone 12 Pro Max to an iPhone 14 Pro…and now the wireless charging pad works perfectly…
How can I tell if my iPhone is Qi wireless charging capable?
Can someone explain the difference between MagSafe and normal wireless charging?
Is there a guide that shows where on each model the wireless charging is?

This may have been discussed in a prior thread, but with my old 12 Pro Max, the wireless charger barely worked. It would charge for about 60 seconds, then say “wireless charging unavailable”. It would never actually charge my phone long enough for overheating to become an issue. I tried MagSafe and non-MagSafe cases (as well as no case) but the issue persisted either way.
As soon as I switched to the smaller iPhone 14 Pro, the wireless charger started functioning properly. It stays charging for my entire 30 min commute, and now only ever says “wireless charging unavailable” when it’s been charging for 25+ minutes and is actually getting hot.
Has anyone else had similar luck downsizing to a smaller phone?
I have an iPhone SE 3rd gen which doesn't have MagSafe but has wireless charging. I know MagSafe chargers still work but don't offer the full feature set. Right now, I'm using a MagSafe charger but I don't know what features I'm missing. For example, the charger magnetically sticks to the phone which I thought was the main point of MagSafe. Other than the special graphic when you put your phone on a MagSafe charger, what else do you get? I'm asking because the no one makes MagSafe compatible cases for the SE because it doesn't have it, but it seems to achieve the same thing.
