My first thought was failed heating element so i replaced that. Still no heat. When I replaced the heating element i thought i checked the thermal cutoff but when i checked it again today it was blown, totally could have checked it wrong last week but i remember it ohming out. the temp select switch might be the problem as i can only get continuity acrost 2 of the 3 selectors.
my current plan is to replace the temp select switch, the thermal cutoff and operating thermostat (which are sold as a pair), and the high limit thermostat. does this sound like a good plan or am i about to waist my money?
Is there anything else that is likely to be causing the problem?

Whirlpool dryer repair - no heat
Why is my Whirlpool dryer running but not heating?
Electric models may have a tripped breaker or failed heating element, thermostat, or thermal fuse. Gas models may have a closed gas supply valve, bad igniter, flame sensor, or gas valve coils. A professional Whirlpool dryer repair can pinpoint the cause.
What should I check first on a gas Whirlpool dryer not heating?
Confirm the gas supply cut-off valve is open. If heat does not return, common failures include the igniter, flame sensor, gas valve coils, high-limit thermostat, or thermal fuse.
Which parts most commonly fix a Whirlpool dryer not heating?
Typical repairs include replacing the heating element, thermal fuse, or high-limit thermostat. Accurate diagnosis prevents unnecessary part swaps and ensures a lasting repair.
