Whirlpool dryer model WED5620HW0, with two touch button strips on the front, a year or two old.
When new, auto dry (using the moisture sensor) was intermittent, even with a full load. The dryer would frequently stop after only 15 minutes with still wet clothes. Restarting it would usually work to completion. Only on the "colors" cycle would it work properly most of the time. Under warranty a tech replaced the control board, and the problem was solved.
But now, many months later, the problem is back and again only the "colors" cycle works most of the time. It is not a dirty sensor, nor a leveling problem, nor a clogged vent.
I suspect a hard factory reset might clear whatever the issue is, but I don't know how to do that. Turning off the power at the breaker for 15 minutes doesn't reset it.
Any help appreciated.
Hi, my electric Whirlpool dryer Model LER7620KQ0 Type: DWSR-ELE-2466028-CV54 stopped working while I was doing laundry today. I did two loads, put in another to be dried, but when I closed the door the push to start button didn't work. Circuit breaker wasn't tripped. And I tried to start it from different places on the selection dial, that did nothing. And I tried to jiggle the trip switch that the door hits when the door is closed, also nothing. Can I try anything else? In the meantime I'll check the power cord connection in the back, with the cord unplugged. :) Thanks
