This sounds like the system isn’t reading the temp data right. this is keeping the coil on and thus burning out the thermal fuse. you may want to replace the temp sensor and check the wires for a pinched or wear spot. also the ends can get corroded. cleaning this off may also help. Hi, · Do you mean that you have replaced the “….Cycling Thermostat, Thermal Cutoff Switch, and the heating element itself” or not? · If not check that the Hi Limit thermostat is OK and also that the resistance of the heater element is OK. I don’t know what the resistance value of the heater is, but research online seems to indicate that it is a 240V 5400W heater so the resistance is ~10ΩHere’s the wiring sheet for the dryer that may also help in case it is a wiring problem

r/appliancerepair on Reddit: Help locating thermal fuse on Whirlpool WED6120HW dryer?
March 23, 2023 -
Hello, this dryer will not start (though door light does work) after a power outage this week. Researching online it seems a likely culprit is the thermal fuse.
However, I cannot find where the thermal fuse is located. The owner's manual does not mention it and doesn't have a schematic diagram. Searching online I only find videos of different Whirlpool models, which don't disassemble the same way this one does. I can't find schematics or other info anywhere.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sears parts direct has pictures and images. It’s number 7 on the Dryer heating parts diagram. Gl I would check it for continuity with a meter before I replaced it. Don’t forget to unplug it first or flip the breaker. Check for both legs of power before you take it all apart. I have seen it were one leg of the breaker trips and you still have power but not enough for it to turn on or heat.

Multimeter is the essential tool for any electric dryer diagnosis. Get the back off and check all the fuses and safeties on continuity/diode test mode. Before you go through any sort of teardown though, make sure you've got correct incoming voltage.
