Where can I buy Rexton hearing aids?
How much do Rexton hearing aids cost?
Which is better: Rexton or Jabra hearing aids?
I’m beyond satisfied, so far they have exceeded my expectations. I’ve worn hearing aids for over 10 years and was really not happy with my signia silk charge and go ones I got last year, which cost 3 times as much as these ones. I also bought the tv transmitter 2.4 and now I can listen to tv at the same time as my family. It’s only been a couple of hours since I got them, but i’m ecstatic!
(28F), Mild-to-Moderate hearing loss. I got my first pair of HA's a few years ago (some very basic Phonaks). I didn't know anything about the HA world and just how much research one should do to find their "Goldilocks" pair, so to say. Never wore them for 6 years because they hurt (I have tiiiny ear canals, so if the receiver is too big, it can be painful) and everything sounded tinny or like everyone had lisps.
After really struggling without HAs for years, I finally went to Costco this week - thanks to this subreddit! - and got recommended Rexton BiCore C R-Li's - I'm excited about the sound and how they felt (very small receiver, yay!), I’m just nervous because I haven't seen or heard much about the company— does anyone have experience with this brand or know anything about it? I’m apprehensive to purchase because there is not a ton of info I could find online about them. I want to get it right this time and make sure I’ll love them and that the company is very reputable!
Edit: I went for it and bought the Rexton's! Thanks so much for all of the advice I received here. I'm now really excited and looking forward to my experience with them. I'll try and update when I get them and how I like them after a month or so of wearing!
They are so much better than what my audiologist quoted me at $7,000 for a pair of Oticon Intent 1.
I made an appointment and asked the Costco if they had hearing aids similar in quality to the Oticon. She mentioned Rexton about the $1,600 to $1,800 range.
It looks like both of these hearing aids are manufactured by the same company?
My ultimate goal is good sound. I don't know what all the bells and whistles options are with hearing aids. Bluetooth capability and adjustment via app would be nice I think but I haven't tried hearing aids for over 10 years.
Thanks for any advice.
I joined Costco just to utilize their hearing aid center. I had an exam earlier this week, tried on a couple HA's--scheduled a consultation today and got them on order. I went with the intent of ordering Jabra Enhance Pro 20. Tried both them and the Rexton Reach (yes, they are now offering them). The Rexton had a warm natural sound while I thought the Jabra sounded a bit sharp, maybe tinny) The Jabra also picked up some extraneous ruffling and breathing, even with some adjustment. Both were programmed to my profile. The Rexton model, seemed like a good helper for my mild/moderate higher frequency loss, not a loudspeaker. The Reach has both a t coil and the capacity for future Bluetooth LE (Auracast), which I felt like covered all the bases for church, plays and auditoriums. I'll be pairing it with an Iphone, which I understand is the most reliable for bt listening and communication. The cost was $1500. I'll have them in about two weeks and have an appointment to set them up there.
Fingers Crossed--I hope I made a good decision.
I've been seeing posts about the new Sennheiser's at some Costco's, so the Rexton Reaches are being pulled from them. Is there a reason they are being pulled? They've only been there a yr. I'm in Fl so it's not here yet, but just curious why that is? I keep reading such good things about the Reaches and was seriously considering upgrading my 2 yo Rexton Bi Cores when the new year rolls around and I can use HSA money again. I haven't been entirely happy with my hearing aids experience so far. I've posted before about the issues I am having and not much has changed since then. I mean having them versus not, is so much better, but I am still saying what? way too much and still trying to guess what's being said alot which makes myself and other people frustrated still.
Now I am wondering if I should just wait it out and keep trying to get things right with my current ones(so far the only thing Costco does it keep changing my dome types and still hasnt agreed to let me try custom molds) Or to eventually try another brand or go ahead and get the Reaches before they are gone?
