I want to watch a series on apple tv. I don't own any apple devices. I logged in on my pc. I got the free subscription. So far everything works fine.

I want to watch on my laptop (windows). I downloaded the app, which for some reason I was not able to find on the apple website, so I had to get it from microsoft store.

I now have the app on my laptop. I tried to log in.
I get the following error message.

"Cannot Sign in.
To sign in using this account, please go to appleid.apple.com"

For some reason it is not a hotlink and I manually have to type this in.

On the website I try to log in. After sending me a fucking verification to my email and then to my phone, I thought I am finally logged in, but no.

I am stuck on the "Apple ID & Privacy" Screen. on the bottom there is a button "continue". I can't click it. It is not possible to proceed from here.

What can I do? Thanks in advance.

I have found a working way or at least I was able to get the web sign on QR code all I did was on a firestick 4k was managed installed apps> Apple TV app >clear cache >clear data restarted firestick >apple tv app > sign on later>click what you want to watch> QR sign and code should show up!!! ... i was having the same issue on the insignia fire tv and I went in and corrected the time zone in the AppleTV app (it was on DST and should of been standard) and weirdly, it worked! Thought I would let you know and maybe it would work for you ... Fixed the issue on my Sony TV! Not sure exactly what did it, but I went into settings and turned off power saving for the Apple app itself, and also found the airplay/homekit settings which I guess I hadn't ever launched or setup.

Last month i cashed in a 3 month free period for apple tv even though i've never used an apple product. I made an apple id, and signed in. I watched something for like a week and then forgot about it. Now when i try to log in, it keeps saying my password is wrong even though i saved it on chrome when making it. When i try to reset my password, it says that "This Apple ID is not active." I can see the confirmation email sendt to the email i am trying to log into, so i know it's the right email. please help!
