I'm roughly the same height as Tom Cruise so it bugs me constantly in every Tom Cruise movie to see things made so short for him and the lengths they go to make him appear taller.
I was just watching Minority Report and there are two instances where he is clearly standing on a box and two where he is standing next to things to intentionally make him look taller because the set designers made them tiny (a short mailbox, for one).
I notice this a lot in movies with Shaq - especially in cars. But it's a bit more... obvious? when it's your own height.
"Hey she is the same height as this guy in one scene but she's the same height as Tom in this scene he must be standing on a box because there is no way he is looking at that other guy in the eye."
