most of the time the real deals are in the store, and not observable on an app/email/advertisement. that is by design. yes prices on some items can be as high as traditional grocers, or worse when you find a deal in a store, take a picture of the tag. plenty of times the register will not ring it up the way its tagged, and it saves time (versus them having to do a price check) if you can show them. i have made them give me small cash refunds over this issue, and their mis-tagging is a chronic problem, particularly at some franchisees. every once in a while one can get a good deal on a good wine, but most of their wine is generally low quality bulk wine sold at correspondingly low prices. if you see something sold as 'california' or 'oregon' or 'washington' that's bulk wine. certain staples like bread, chips, tortillas etc. are stocked by their suppliers and won't ever have any deals. they have designated shelf space with a consistent inventory mix and you can tell quickly, since those tend to be tidier than the area GO stocks themselves.
