Sonic seems to be prioritizing its NVX brand (named after their "founder" i guess) on almost everything they sell. And their prices are insane now. The PPI 900.4 clone is literally almost $300, when you can get the PPI 900.4 for $140 almost everywhere. Oh well, looks like another one is biting the dust. Consumer electronics retailing is super tough, but I just don't understand how so many follow the same exact patter of self destruction

With that being said Eclipse is no longer making aftermarket car audio, they are solely working the Toyota OEM stuff. My advice if you want the radio I wouldnt wait to long or you might have to buy used.Thanks. I went ahead and jumped on it. (link.) It seems to be a pretty rare unit and I didn't want to let it slip away especially at that price. Aside from a couple on ebay, Sonic was the main source for these things (they bought up a lot of the stock on this unit.)

January 17, 2011 - We had good intentions (and usually a good product), but at the end of the day a loss would get passed to the customer since our margins were so slim. Back to topic, Sonic Electronix is an not an authorized dealer of most of their electronics. I understand that their are plenty of "unreasonable people" that bitch about things when they are not perfect, but their is a whole lot of heat out there on this company. Here / Here / Here I can always count on what I read here. First hand experiences anyone??? yes i have bought numerous items from them. they are a good cheap place to get car electronics and when i need more things i buy from them.

But I was appreciative that in order to put an end to all of the headaches they just paid the customs fees for the new unit. Crutchfield doesn't ship internationally. Woofersetc does. But I'm from Kentucky, so I thought I would support my local economy and order from Sonic during hard times. Recently, I had another (smaller and cheaper) order from Wooferetc.

I used some of my BB reward certificates for the purchase. Listed amp cost was $121.95 which is a good price for this amp. Waited three days then called for order status only to find out order was cancelled stating "product is no longer available". Sonic Electronix continues to sell the product via BB but updated their price to $169.95.
