3 weeks ago - When Dorothy and her friends arrive at Kiamo Ko, she tells Elphaba that while the Wizard sent her with orders to "kill the Wicked Witch of the West," Dorothy came to apologize for inadvertently killing Nessarose. Furious that Dorothy is asking for the forgiveness she herself has been denied, Elphaba waves her burning broom in the air and inadvertently sets her skirt on fire.

1 month ago - Because her father was governor of Munchkinland, Nessarose takes control of the province following his death, and during her rule, she slowly becomes evil and tyrannical. She enslaves Boq, and in an attempt to use Elphaba's spells to punish him for professing his love for Glinda, accidentally causes his heart to disappear. As Elphaba begins to save Boq by turning him into the Tin Woodman, Nessarose declares herself 'The Wicked Witch of the East'.

December 10, 2024 - The first Wicked movie doesn't make it explicitly clear to those unfamiliar with the musical that Nessarose is the Wicked Witch of the East, with the only hints being the fact that they are siblings as well as Nessarose's silver shoes. In act two of the musical, however, it is revealed that Nessarose is the one who Dorothy crushes with her house upon arriving in the Land of Oz, with this reveal completely changing one of The Wizard of Oz's biggest moments. Nessarose's death in Wicked Part Two will be tragic, as the first Wicked makes the Wicked Witch of the East an easy character to love.

In the lore of Oz, Nessarose hasn't always had an actual name (like her older sister). She's the Wicked Witch of the East, and she's a pair of legs under a house wearing some snazzy shoes. Like her sister, we only have a few physical features, an interesting death (who else can boast of dying from having a house fall on them?), and a derisive name to go on.

November 25, 2025 - She was killed instantly by the house. Nessa's death was celebrated amongst the munchkins, as she had become the Wicked Witch of the East after putting travel bans on them during her role as the Governor of Munchkinland.

December 15, 2024 - We don't know as much about her as some of the characters that already appeared in the 1939 classic film, The Wizard of Oz. All we really know is that she meets an unfortunate demise when Dorothy (Judy Garland) accidentally lands a house on her.
