Is a window replacement worth the cost?
Window replacement is typically always worth the cost, both from a money-saving standpoint and a comfort standpoint. If your windows are older and significantly damaged, a window replacement can actually save you money in the long term by improving energy efficiency. If your windows aren’t up to code, you may not really have a choice.
Are window sashes always movable?
No, not every window has movable sashes. Many fixed or stationary windows that were intended only to provide views and sunlight still have inoperable sashes that allow them to match the rest of the windows in a home. These are called sash-set fixed windows. They are created by glazing a window into a sash that is secured to a frame.
Do storm windows increase your home's value?
In addition to protecting your home from costly storm damage, storm windows increase your home's value if you live in an area that’s prone to severe weather. Storm windows offer about an 80% return on investment (ROI). Therefore, if you install $10,000 worth of storm windows, you can expect to get around $8,000 back if you sell your home within a few years of installation. Additionally, highly hurricane-prone areas, like the Florida coast, offer even higher returns, with ROIs on storm windows reaching up to 86%.

When you reboot, go to your BIOS (press or hold F10 or F11, or F2, this key will vary by manufacturer). In the BIOS, Lenovo probably has some option to boot into safe mode or boot into recovery mode. Worst case, you'll have to make a windows repair USB drive and boot off that to fix it. It's pretty easy, but will likely involve reinstalling windows completely, and it'll be a pain to recover your data before the reinstall... if you don't want to do it yourself and it's still under warranty Lenovo might do it for free. Microsofts QA has gone down a ton with Windows 10, I've had updates break so many computers with the only solution being a fresh reinstall... it sucks.
