This makes Version 22H2 the last ever major feature updates for these operating systems!
(Well, I know Win10 22H2 has no new features... but whatever... )
Hi, My name is Estrella, and I'm a Microsoft user like you. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. I'll be more than happy to help.
Many users have recently reported the same issue after applying recent updates, and it appears to be a bug. 23H2 will still be supported until November 2025: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/pro...
For now, I suggest reporting this to Microsoft via the Feedback Hub app (press Windows + F).
This doesn't appear to be a bug, it's a "feature". The answer from Microsoft will either be nothing, or buy a new PC. Microsoft is doing this on purpose to force people to spend money on hardware that isn't needed, and they are in return compensated by the largest PC vendors, directly or indirectly.
The good news is Linux is very good, very secure, and easy to use today (outside of gaming...). And better yet, it's completely free, forever.
An amusing side note on the issues with Linux gaming, is that is also Microsoft's fault.
Hello,
Version 22H2 has reached end of support in Oct 2024. That means update will no longer be pushed to you via Windows settings, hence you will not be able to update via Settings.
Instead, go here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
Download and run the installation assistant to upgrade to the latest version instead.
Thank you so much.
Actually after 2-3 days when I checked for updates it automatically updated to 24H2 now.
Thanks again.
