I’m a console player that will be building my first pc soon. I used up most of my budget on the pc components. Looking for recommendations on a wireless mouse/keyboard combo for around $100 total primarily used for gaming.
Planning on playing a variety of games like 7 days to die and Tarkov starting out. I don’t really care about aesthetics, just something that is decent quality for the money. Bonus if i can buy it at Best Buy since I have a gift card.
I was using an old Razer Viper for a long time and I thoroughly enjoyed that mouse. However it's crapped out on me and after seeing that a V3 mouse costs $160 and the V4 Blackwidow keyboard costs $300, I'm looking for good wireless gaming keyboard/mice that won't cost that much. I think around $200-$250 would be reasonable.
Mouse - 3 customizable buttons at least, size/shape/weight similar to the Viper, RGB
Keyboard - Mechanical (similar to Cherry Browns), TKL, RGB
In the past, we bought Logitech MK235 keyboard + mouse sets for our users. These are super cheap (around 20 bucks per set in Germany), but we have multiple users reporting to have issues with these: Mouse lag, Mouse tracking, delayed or unregistered keystrokes, etc.
What keyboard + mouse combo do you buy for your users?
What would be the next step up for us? Anything you can recommend? (ideally below 50 bucks per set)
Ever since I connected my pc to my tv I have been loving playing games on the couch with a controller. But some games feel better with m&k, fps games what not. Wondering if anyone does the same thing and uses a Bluetooth m&k to get the job done. Googling has given me a ton of gimmicky BS.
I have a wire keyboard and mouse that work good, but would really like to go wireless, but I don't want to do that if there's going to be a weird lag response. Also, does it make difference between using USB vs Bluetooth? I've seen a few Bluetooth keyboard/mouse and wondered if they functioned better than USB wireless keyboard/mouse. I mainly just want to know what I need to look for when shopping for one so that way I can choose if I want to get something that has all the bells and whistles (RGB, loud keys, etc) or go on a budget and just get what I need for performance.
For gaming, you will want to avoid bluetooth. But wireless keyboards and mice for gaming should come with a dedicated usb receiver, and the latency is comparable to wired ones.
You probably won't notice the difference. Especially if you go higher end.
Personally, I avoid wireless just cause screw batteries. If you sit in the same place for all gaming, I'd recommend wired just for that tbh.
