I feel like there has to be a solution to this. I know there are rechargeable, wireless strip lights that can be turned on by a button, wireless remote or app. But what about a way to turn them on by powering an outlet not near the lights? Currently have under cabinet lights in my kitchen that are plugged into outlets within the cabinets. Those outlets turn on via a light switch when we enter kitchen. Added an additional small section of cabinets about 30 ft from those outlets and want to add lights that will power up via the same switch as the others without running the power over there. Is there a something I can plug into the hidden outlets that will send a wireless signal to an under cabinet light when I power the outlet? I realize I will need to periodically charge the lights themselves.
Pretty much the title. I could, hypothetically, hard wire them but I really prefer not to for a couple of reasons, unless the general consensus is that the battery operated LED lights are just truly not worth it.
My goals are to simply install the strip lights under and above the kitchen cabinets. Ideally, they would also be able to connect with my Google Home ecosystem.
Just wondering what the community thinks are the best options for this scenario.
