Best Buy Doing It Right
I normally order mice from Amazon, but will be checking the Best Buy site as well. They price match. They had a lot of options on how to handle this, and they choose a good one. Curbside service at stores, nobody allowed in, and not sending employees into people’s homes with appliances. A lot of Best Buy employees are part time, so it would have been very easy to just lay people off or not pay leave (they’re not required to). Will vote with my tech dollar to let them know I appreciate their attitude. If only they carried the Roccat KPU, as it is the only mouse I’m going to need for a very long time. More on reddit.com

’ve seen a bunch of people lean toward the steelseries for setups like yours. It’s the kind that balances everything well, super lightweight, has a dongle so no bluetooth needed, and the battery life is actually wild. Saw some reviews say they barely think about charging it. It has rgb but in a less “gamer spaceship” way, especially if you go with the white version. Also apparently it holds up well with dust and random spills, which lowkey matters more than you'd expect. Put simply, the USB port on this older laptop is busted. I can still connect bluetooth devices to it as it has an internal receiver but most wireless mouse come with a dongle you must attach. What is a cheap mouse I can get from best buy that just connects without a dongle at all? I know apple's magic mouse does this but naturally that's not under 30$
I do not need a super expensive mouse, I just need it to point and click, no features needed

Assume no budget beyond reasonable, I would prefer to not go for the gamer look but I’m willing to fold on this if it’s good, however my pc doesn’t have Bluetooth so I need something with a dongle. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! I’m looking to reduce the amount of wires cause I got a standing desk and the amount of wires limit my ability to move it up and down somewhat.

Knowing what people actually stick with can save you a ton of time when trying to figure out what’s reliable and comfortable. I use a site that I found, which basically pulls together reddit users top picks for a bunch of items, including these. It helped me see which models people actually use for months without issues versus the ones that look good on paper but flop in daily use. Combine that with youtube reviews where people show unboxings, grip comparisons, and real gameplay tests, and you can easily narrow down great options for your setup.
