Netflix's sword-and-sorcery fantasy epic "The Witcher" is back for season 2, and that means there are a whole bunch of great new monsters for Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) and Princess Ciri (Freya Allan) to battle. While the premiere episode of the season gave fans their first glimpse of the vampiric bruxa, they end up encountering a much more dangerous monster once they make it to Kaer Morhen: a leshen.

December 17, 2021 - So when Ciri tries to become a Witcher herself to try and escape what I can only assume is her survivor's guilt over the events in Cintra, it makes sense that Geralt would be the one to finally get through to her after Triss and Vesemir fail. It leads to one of the most affecting exchanges in the series so far. Geralt's connection with Ciri has been one of The Witcher's biggest strengths in its second season, and their familial chemistry is once again on display in this episode.

December 17, 2021 - This episode is really good. There is action, moral dilemmas, lack of good choices, so the classical Witcher's lesser evil cases. The episode does not follow the novel exactly, but it does not go too far away.

December 20, 2019 - Excellent ending and buildup for Season 2. I've never read the books so to those who say I could have experienced something better, that's great. Maybe I will read the books one day now that I've watched this. But just so you know, most books transferred onto film isn't going to do the books justice. I also can't understand anyone who would bill this as the next GoT. GoT got old. The way The Witcher is being written where intertwining stories are aired from past and present and finally they meet in the end...this is going down a path that leaves the possibility for writers to develop on these characters further in season 2 in a pace that doesn't unnecessarily drag it out as I've felt at times in GoT.

December 17, 2021 - The whole world versus The Witcher !!! #WildHuntIsComing Verdict- 9.6/10. Edit: Upon second viewing I have got to say that now that the hype is gone. The finale seemed a bit empty. The stakes in the first season finale were huge and somewhat this felt bland. And the big bad for the season never seemed a major threat. Could have been a lot better. Edited Verdict- 8 (Finale) & 8.7 (Season 2)

December 17, 2021 - The main plot is tiresomely predictable, and it's sad that they portray a whole castle full of Witchers as being unable to spot the obvious evil among them. It's all competently made, with much better CGI than season 1, but the narrative structure isn't great.
