r/wiedzmin on Reddit: Season 4 of The Witcher Viewership Declines Over 50%
November 5, 2025 - ... Given how a show like 1899 got 11.4 million views vs witcher season 3 15 million views and being cancelled despite costing 60 million vs witcher 175 million, that to me shows the influence that witcher executives have on Netflix itself.

‘The Witcher’ Season 4 Viewership Has Totally Tanked On Netflix
November 5, 2025 - This echoes the fact that The Witcher season 4 failed to ever pass Nobody Wants This on the Top 10 list, and it’s just a brutal drop from previous seasons. No, it’s not a full week and if it were, it may have squeaked by Nobody Wants This, but the first four days are going to be its biggest viewership days, which are tracked here.

'The Witcher' Season 4 Premiere Viewership Down 35% from Season 3
Honestly, I just feel bad for the cast. This show was all the rage when season 1 launched, they can't be happy seeing the direction it's taken in the ensuing years. More on reddit.com

I just saw a article that witcher season 4 might even not happen lmfao. But one directly below it stating a witcher movie might be created?
I’ve read rumours that behind the scenes Liam is regretting his decision to join the show and execs are unhappy at how much negative publicity Henry’s departure has gotten. But again that’s just rumours. More on reddit.com

November 4, 2025 - It reminded me of low rent fantasy shows from 20 years ago. Audiences have grown up since then. We got into 'Game of Thrones,' 'House of the Dragon,' and (duh) 'The Witcher.' Season 4 was a huge step backward for Witcher fans and the fantasy community as a whole.

November 12, 2025 - The Witcher season 4, after facing a lot of backlash and controversy, finally landed on Netflix and completed over two weeks of streaming. Last week marked its debut week, when it landed in the top 3 of Netflix’s weekly global top 10 for English-language shows. Liam Hemsworth’s show, however, jumped to the top in its second week of viewership and is trending in many countries.

r/witcher on Reddit: Official Netflix Ratings
December 13, 2023 -

Hi folks,

There's some really interesting data in that gigantic datadump Netflix have just done of all the most watched shows this year. Because it might be of interest to you all, here's the relevant parts:

Witcher Season 1 comes in at 171st most watched show, 72.2 million hours watched.

Witcher Blood Orgins is next, 202nd most watched, 65.3 million hours. This really surprised me.

Witcher Season 2. 233rd most watched. 59.3 million hours.

Witcher season 3. A fairly catastrophic drop to 556th. 33.4 million hours watched.

Witcher - Nightmare of the wolf. 5507th. 2.4 million hours watched.

So, yeah, some really surprising numbers in there. Who thought Blood Origins would have been so much more popular than Season 3?

Edited to add the link to the data if you want to see it yourselves:

September 3, 2023 - We’ll take all available viewership data from Netflix’s own charts. Thus, we have 6 weeks of Season 2 and 8 weeks of Season 3. It’s not a perfect 1-on-1 comparison due to the way Season 3 was released, but rather of the overall performance of each season. The Witcher Season 2 had 519.4M ...
