I have recently brought a domain from Wix and I want to create custom emails like [email protected] and forward any emails sent to this address to my personal gmail account.
I used to be able to do it for free with a domain I got from google domains but can't seem to figure out how to do it with this new domian. Is that option not available with Wix?

Wix doesn't have built-in email forwarding but you can use any email forwarding service. Look into hanami.run and simply follow their onboarding process to add your MX record. https://hanami.run/docs/configure_dns#mx Essentially you will need to add: - mx record: point to the services that accept and forward your email - spf record: so that it's authorized that email service to forward your email

While WIX doesn’t offer email forwarding, I run Mailcast which provides free email forwarding and the ability to send email from your business domain as well.

Hey folks,
I just paid for an account and transferred my domain to wix. I assumed that I would be able to setup email forwarding so email going to [email protected] would forward to any email account I choose. Is this not the case?

I’m not sure if Wix offer this. I run ForwardMX, and we’ve helped a number of Wix customers with email forwarding. Our plans start at $30/yr.

Hi, it doesn’t look like Wix handles custom domain email. Their support site suggests you connect your existing business email account to your Wix domain or purchase Google Workspace, which can be quite pricey, you can see more here https://support.wix.com/en/article/request-transferring-your-existing-email-to-wix If you need forwarding, I run Mailcast which can help.
