Which do you prefer?
I have experience with Squarespace but the current website is on Wix. The website needs redone either way but wondering if I should take the opportunity to switch.
Mostly need to be able to list services, contact information, forms, and blogs.

Both have their drawbacks. I’m a web developer. I code my websites so I actually don’t like either of them because of the low performance scores they get and lack of creativity they have in their templates and limits on what you can create. For a regular user, wix might be easier to use and more flexible. Squarespace has always been very rigid and hard to edit in my experience early on in my career when I was dabbling with them. I recently did a dog trainer site, you can look at it for design and content inspiration. https://prevailk9training.com So I say try your hand at wix and see what you can do. And if you do want to do online scheduling, DONT use the wix booking platform. Use a third party booking service so in case you ever need to move away from wix you can take your booking platform with you. I recommend using square up for your payment processing and get their booking platform when you need it and just add a link to your site. Nice and easy. I never make custom booking solutions. You become vendor locked in the ecosystem your site is made in and can’t leave it without starting over with your booking system. So keep your site and your booking and online ordering separate.

Ecwid, if you dont have many products. Dont worry about hosting, good support, pretty straightforward, lots of power, very easy to setup. Got more products shoppify. Still takes a bit of time to set up the template, change text, choose colors, payment methods, input products, etc. But easy and quick yo pick up ( no coding skills required ) Have the skills and time to setup wordpress, woocommerce? This is probably the best bet, but takes the most time and if you don't know it yet, has the steepest learning curve. Lots of things to set up: emails, payment gateways, etc, etc. Got extra money, hire someone to do it on the platform of your choosing. I avoid wix (and on an unrelated note godaddy), and have yet to use/be a client of a squarespace store. More on reddit.com

Both Squarespace and Wix are pretty similar in terms of pricing. The entry level ad-free Wix Light plan is $17/month if you sign up for a year. So is Squarespace’s Basic plan at $16/month.
The same is true for their ecommerce plans: Wix Core costs $29/month, whereas Squarespace Online Store Basic is $39/month.
We noticed that whenever Wix raises prices, Squarespace follows suite shortly after.
