I'm 35, need some new summer clothes, not trying to buy shitty quality fast fashion or things that cost $300. I don't need much. Maybe 2 new dresses, a new pair of shorts, and a few new tops. I feel like I don't know where to look!

Edit: thrifting, while ideal given the current economy, is currently off the table because I'm currently injured and immobile.
What’s your go-to Summer outfit?
I just got these Kimchi Blue wrap dresses in blue and green for the upcoming summer, and they're every bit as flattering/cute as I'd hope they'd be (downside is the material snags super easily). I'm planning on pairing the blue one with these d'Orsay flats and the green one with these toffee booties . When it's not some variation on this general style I'm normally in boots/booties and a shirt tucked into high-waisted shorts. More on reddit.com

It depends on what you mean by summer clothes. Summer will happen no matter what. If you don’t have clothing that will keep you cool and comfortable then you’re going to need some new clothes. Everyone in here is obsessed with summer dresses. Please help: I am a queer woman in an outdoorsy, active city that gets crazy warm in the summers. I'm not into skirts or dresses and never have been. I am also very put off by the idea of having my ass exposed to the wind, and have never been able to sit or move comfortably, even in dresses advertised for comfort. Putting shorts under a dress in the summer sounds like an exercise in utter masochism -- more layers, more sweat; it basically cancels out the effects of the skirt IMO. What am I doing wrong? OR What solutions have you found for people who are extremely dress- and skirt-averse. More on reddit.com
