I get around this by wearing nude boyshort underwear. I find most white linen pants aren’t completely sheer, but you can clearly see any difference between your skin color and the color of your underwear, unless you color-match perfectly and I know I can’t! I can’t find my favorite ones on Amazon anymore, but I also have these cotton ones that I use for these cases and also as sleep shorts: https://a.co/d/gnYLY5j Any nude boyshort underwear would work though / just something to move the line of contrast/pantyline further down your leg More on reddit.com

I love everything I’ve gotten from Off/On, via Etsy. One of the Lithuanian linen companies but gets less visibility than, say, Not Perfect Linen. They have more original designs than more popular ones! It’s a thicker, very structured linen so probably a great option for work and moving from hot outside/cool inside, looking polished all day, etc. Needs some break in, I put them in a cool dryer with wool dryer balls WHEN DRY to soften it up a little at first. I have linen from Linenfox on my summer wishlist this year for more basic pants styles, and they have some interesting tailoring on some of their shirts. I’m also looking to try Pamut, a US small brand with some really nicely tailored linen pants options. I also have an all-season linen jacket/duster from Love and Confuse (another Euro linen brand) that is fantastic. Lighter than Off/On, more tightly woven than Everlane, seems very durable. Everlane is hit or miss. I have a shirt I like, but their linen quality is both too thin AND too loosely woven to feel polished in pants. I wear my Everlane linen pants at home only.

I really want a pair of white trousers for the summer months, something cool and wide-legged. But any time I find a pair I like it turns out to be see-through. Which is ridiculous, tbh.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I know this isn't exactly capsule wardrobe focused, but I figure wanting one pair of really good trousers for the capsule does still kind of fit.

Your best bet is something lined, but that means it won’t be quite as cool/breezy. Another option may be white twill/denim as that will be thicker and less likely to be see through.
