Diy storage cabinet

This post gives me the impression that you don't have access to a lot of tools or aren't very experienced, which is totally fine. Hopefully this gives you some insight. Please correct me if I'm making a poor assumption. If it's made of plywood with dados/rabbets, technically yes. Plywood is stable, so you won't have to worry about natural expansion tearing your glue joints apart or warping your cabinet making the doors stick. The dados and rabbets would allow you to have an edge-to-edge gluing surface, as an end-to-edge joint isn't the strongest. Cutting all this joinery wouldn't be the easiest thing without access to at least a router and a guide, preferably a table saw and/or track saw. You would also need a decent quantity of clamps to apply pressure while the glue dries. It would be much easier to butt joint, glue and screw. If you're concerned about the screws being visible, you can pocket screw from the inside and plug or just hide the holes in a portion of the cabinet that isn't visible. This would require a pocket hole jig. If you're painting the cabinet, you can just drive the screws from the outside, bury/countersink the heads, and wood fill. They will be invisible after paint. If you have any specific questions, I am happy to answer them. I've made dozens of cabinets for family, friends, my house, and my shop. They range in construction from a basic butt jointed box and screws as described above, to locking rabbets and dadoes with a face frame. Good luck! Wooden storage unit for Basement

Honest feedback: I feel like there needs to be another shelf in there. Seems like it would be a constant pain to continuously have to move 1-2 totes off the stack if you ever wanted something in the bottom one. A second shelf would allow you to break up the stack and make sifting through those totes a lot easier. More on reddit.com
