Hello! I would like to learn woodworking. I'm a woman in her late 20's and everything around Seattle looks a little bit expensive for beginning classes. I'm an artist and would be interested in trade. I have a lathe and plenty of tools but I need somebody who is at least intermediate level to show me the ropes on their equipment.

Both the rockler and woodcraft stores in Seattle offer classes. Can be great for fundamentals and beginners. There is also Port Townsend school of woodworking across the sound, which is great, but a bit pricier than the box stores. As others mentioned, you can also try community colleges. Pratt Fine Arts Center has classes in woodworking and also a whole bunch of other things. Classes are usually an extremely good value and they have financial help available. Check out https://www.pratt.org/

Not sure what's low cost in your book, but I've taken the "build a table" class at Ballard woodworks in the past and found it really helpful and enjoyable. They're full at the moment, but they add classes from time to time.
