I don't get how the new v5 Wooting software works
Thanks for sharing this point of feedback, I put one of my boards back to v4 and replicated a similar configuration to yours and was able to replicate what you experienced. From that I found the root cause and I've got a fix ready which we'll likely push out today 😁 More on reddit.com

Here’s a breakdown for you - Save your money and be responsible If you want to ignore that and buy stuff then here we go. To mod/build the keyboard but keeping your old wooting pcb is a good way to save and have the architecture of wooting. Get Krytox205g0 to lube your switches and make them smoother and sounding better. Get new keycaps if you’re looking for a new look and theme to the build. Tofu redux is a good cost effective case to get and should be sold by kinetic labs. Get new switches like the Lekkers 2.0 version or gaterons new magnetic switches. And lube them, factory lubing is not bad but if you do them yourselves, they sound so much better. Lube your stabilizers with said krytox205g0 which will change the entire sound of the stabilizers and make them sound 👌 You should probably save money but you stumbled into this sinkhole hobby. In total you could spend around 200-250 depending what you get in terms of case and keycaps. Lubing videos are all on YouTube which will teach you everything you need to know and also stabilizer adjustments. I recommend Taeha types for instructional videos. More on reddit.com

When I'm using the old one rapidtrigger shows on (it is) but on the new v5 software it's greyed out even if RS is still on, it's very confusing

In the old software when I hover my mouse on the RT settings the keys are glowing, in the new version it does nothing
Even if I select all 4 keys the RS button is still off

How did this go through 4 month of beta and 8 versions?

I just need to set RT again in the new software, it does not detect RT settings from the v4 software

It's because you have to select the keys first, yeah it is a lil bit confusing.

I have a Wooting 60HE I purchased about 3 years ago. I have the itch to buy a new keyboard or build one from scratch. I primarily use it for gaming and mainly competitive FPS games. Looking to keep the total cost around $300 or less.
Here are my questions:
Is there a keyboard that performs better than the wooting 60HE out of the box for gaming?
Should I use my 3 year old wooting PCB or since everything else will be new should I just bite the bullet and upgrade?
If I did use my old PCB, how difficult would it be to swap it out with an upgraded one in the future? Would it take an hour or two?
What kind of mods will I need other than the PCB? Never built a keyboard before but was leaning towards the tofu60 redux and geon raw HE 40s. No clue what else I'll need besides keycaps.
What HE PCB is recommended? I was looking at the wooting 60HE+ or the GT60 pro. I know wooting has superior software but the board seems outdated in performance compared to the newer wooting 80HE and the GT60 pro.
I appreciate the help.

The best performing pcb on the market currently is (from what I know) the Venom 60HE. I will not comment on the other points since I have not build a keyboard myself and cannot confidently say anything about them but for performance, I am fairly certain that the one mentioned above is best.
