I’m planning on making the move to Montreal next year from Australia on a IEC visa.

I really like the vibe of Montreal and so I was looking at moving here.

My concern is that I don’t yet speak French. (I’m currently learning and I’m keen to participate in more comprehensive courses / language meet ups when I’m there!)

Will my lack of French be a huge issue when it comes to finding a job? On IEC forums, they suggest it’ll be easier to secure a job once you’ve arrived, rather than to try and find a job remotely.

My background is in customer service / Account management, so I understand this doesn’t help my position. Though I’ve developed some technical skills in my current job so I’d potentially pivot into an entry level analyst role.

I’d really appreciate any feedback or stories from people in similar positions.

Hi guys! I am a stay at home mom and with the economy right now the cost of living is so high it’s almost unmanageable. Anyone know where I can get a job working from home? Something legit? Anyone heard of hirequester and know if that company is legit?
