Ups worldship advise
To WorldShip, or not to WorldShip? That's the question.

My boss is insisting that there is a better way to setup worldship. Currently we have a work station as the “Worldship Server” and the remote endpoints as the shipping stations. Every Monday and Tuesday we must rdp to that sever and update worldship and then auto elevate approves the updates for the remotes. My boss wants it to be a hands off automatic process for updates, he won’t listen to me that there is no other way and a hands off approach is impossible. Ups even confirmed this.
The question is how does an enterprise level company properly setup an ups worldship network install? Basically what’s the way it should be done.
Ok. I have a two-part dilemma that I'm pretty ignorant on: Small business. We use UPS to ship our products directly to customers. A lot of customers are now asking to have the tracking number sent to them so they can monitor progress. I don't want to have to manually email them with each shipment. So, from the research I've done, (not extensive), it seems to me that I have to download UPS WorldShip and make use of their Quantum View to have emails automatically sent to our customers at the point of label creation.
My first question: Is that accurate? Is there really no other way I can have an email with a tracking number automatically sent to our customers?

Next, assuming that I do need WorldShip: At this company, shipments are not created at one computer, nor under one network. Sometimes the boss creates shipments from his phone halfway across the country while on a business trip.
My second question: Would I have to download WorldShip twice, once on the inhouse computer and once on the boss's travel computer? Would UPS allow two different downloads from one account?
