I'm a truck driver. For several years now, I've been wearing Wrangler Riggs Workwear Ranger pants(with cargo pockets). They also make ones without the cargo pockets(carpenter pants) if you don't want cargo pockets. Made with a very durable ripstop and a YKK zipper. Modern day they are both very eh. Back in the day I think carhartt takes the crown purely for durability. Wranglers denim is great especially older pairs but I think for canvas carhartt is on top. I recommend Patagonia if you’re really looking for something to justify the cost. The upfront may be more but I can say almost certainly they will last longer than any current carhartt or wrangler pair of pants. Their iron forge and hemp pants are amazing and incredibly durable. I'm looking for a good pair of bushcraft/work pants. I'll be wearing them mainly for work outside, dealing with Brian's and brambles for the most part, and in the field when I get time. My blue jeans don't last very long for work, and in looking for something sturdy. I like the Fjallraven stuff, but im not sure I want to spend the money if there is something else similar.

In all seriousness, no bias aside, if possible. I have owned the Wrangler Riggs cargo pants for some time now, and I love them. They're thick and quite durable. But is Carhartt really that much better, especially for the price? Is there anything better than either companies? For the price? I'm asking specifically about pants.
