I want to keep these cools wysiwyg editors like tinymce or ckeditor. But the thing is they are for API, not fully open source. Really hard to write plugin or modify.

Do you guys have any suggestion? Other than these, fully open source.

I have tried editorjs but that's block editor. I am looking for something out of the box solution, so that I can add my plugin or extension easily.

What I've heard, https://lexical.dev/ is an open source and extremely customizable RTE, but it has a learning curve and the documentation is not the best.

What is the best open source WYSIWYG editor for Windows?

This isn't what you're looking for but I'd check out using Markdown and using a library to translate that into HTML. It's far easier to edit text using Markdown than using any wysiwyg. Tables are still going to be a pain though. I usually make a Google spreadsheet and the export that out as well. More on reddit.com

What are some good, open source WYSIWYG editors?

Markdown isn't really standardised, and is slightly different between sites, so you won't find an editor the truly fits your use case. What you could do is use word/libre Office writer and convert them to markdown using pandoc, but then you'll have to learn pandoc, which is a command line utility! My advice would be to either just use the online editor, or spend the time you're using to search for programs to just learn markdown. It's surprisingly easy to learn, even for non technical users.
