anyone can share their XDA keycaps thoughts and experiences? (vs Cherry, SA, DSA)
I mostly use Cherry and SA but I like XDA pretty well.
I don't know how standardized XDA/ZDA is, but I just compared a keycap from the XDA Mars Colony set with an SA Mizu keycap (uniform R3 profile) and the XDA is a tiny bit larger surface area and a bit shallower scoop.
Cherry tops are taller but narrower than XDA and of course only curved in one direction.
XDA is noticeably larger and flatter than DSA. I have big fingers and find DSA and MT3 a bit annoying to type on.

I'm wondering if XDA keycaps would be nice on them. would the shift from my current keycap profiles be big?

I know that XDA are fatter and flatter than DSA. But does it have more surface area at the top than SA keycaps as well?
I do plan on trying out my XD75 with SA's first before I buy another keycap set.

My beef with XDA is that it makes wobbly switches much more noticeable since you tend to press more off center than not.
Yes the surface of XDA is much larger than SA, or at least it feels and "acts" much larger, you will definitely notice.
So I ordered some cheap keycaps from AliExpress because I really really wanted to have Kuromi themed keycaps and pretty much the only ones available are cheap keycaps from Ali. When ordering I didn't even looked at what profile they are and when they came in my first thought was these really do look cheap, but hey it's what I expected. Later I learned these are XDA profile which I didn't even realize was a thing tbh.
But after 2 weeks of using I don't want to go back to any other really. I love the big surface of every key and they are so comfortable to type on for many hours at the time. They also have a very nice silky sort of feeling texture to them. The only thing I'm not so sure about yet is the sound. I like more the creamy sound, but these are veeeery thocky. But I think I'm slowly getting used to it and kinda starting to like it.
Sometimes the best things come when you are not looking for them.
