Hello, I am writing a code to copy values from and to a heavy excel file (>15 MB. Right now, opening the file (in the background, without automatic calculation) takes a little bit over 10 s on python with xlwings.)
I think that there is not that much I can do to open this file quicker, however I was thinking of an escamotage to mask the runtime from the user perspective. Basically, I am thinking of having an .exe or script with a minimal UI where the user is required to input a series of values, which will then be copied to the excel worksheets.
Would it be possible to run the longer command "in the background" as soon as the scripts starts while letting the user dealing with values input at the same time?
