You'll want to buy the 30 waist and then either get them taken in at the waist by a tailor without reducing the leg, or, get waist clips (search pant waist tightener) to bring them in temporarily. If you do take them to a tailor, make sure they do an equal reduction from the back and sides to not throw off the proportions too much.
