quick description;
always wanted to learn piano
read the wiki on which piano to get. understand p45 is one of the most highly regarded / recommended "budget" piano
started taking a class at a CC. had first lesson yesterday. probably planning on continuing learning after this quarter
will be a casual player. as a hobby. no plans on it being anything more
mainly only interested in playing/learning Classical and contemporary classical / "new age"
i want a piano that i will be happy with for several years and fulfill all my needs. the biggest need i have is (other than the fundamental aspect of "what piano to get" section on wiki) is that it needs to be able to connect to a headphone set so i can play at anytime in my household. (if i can connect it to my PC for whatever needs, that would be pretty awesome too)
with that in mind, is the P45 (seems to retail for ~~$400 USD on guitar center) a good buy for my needs? especially with that $400 price tag.
I just bought the Yamaha P45 on Guitar Center for like $550 because I watched videos on YouTube that claimed that it is a great beginner piano for a good price. Also, I went to Guitar Center and the sales associate told me that the Yamaha P45 was the best option for beginners. However, I've been browsing this subreddit and I've read that the Yamaha P45 is outdated and pianos like the FP30x and the Yamaha P125 are better. Should I cancel my order for the Yamaha P45 and go with the P125 or the FP30x or should ( just get the P45?
I’m trying to make some quick cash and I know guitar center will buy used instruments. I have the Yamaha p45. It’s in nearly perfect condition (one key has a small burn mark). I honestly don’t want to wait for days, possibly weeks if i use craigslist or reverb, so that’s why I’m considering GC. Has anyone sold to them before? How’d it go? I am a little worried that they won’t take it or maybe take for a very small amount.
I am in the market for a beginner piano for my daughter. I was suggested P45. Today I see Yamaha p71 on Amazon prime deals.
Is P71 similar to P45? I read that P45 has better keys ? Can any one confirm. Will I regret if I went with P71!?
Sorry I don't have much idea about pianos, need one for my daughter asap.
Edit: Throwing another piano into the mix:
Amazon: p71 -> $399
Costco FP10 bundle (with furniture stand and bench) -> $550
What should I pick !!
