For it is just the question which one is worth buying at a used price;
Kawai for $570 with packaging, manual pedal, and stand
P45 for $425 with stand and pedal
Or P71B for $380 in a sealed package with stand and pedal.
I was able to save money so I could buy any one of them, but I am just not too sure where to start as a beginner. I used to jingle on my moms old piano, but never actually learned how to play. I know basics from my high school class.
PS: I am sorry, I quite a few people ask similar questions...

Thank you all for your input. I tested all 3 and for me personally price wise and feeling was the P71B best, and I got it for $350 (They discounted it because I picked it up instead of them delivering which was very generous.) It is in the original box with all the parts in it and all the keys worked on purchase.

They are all good choices for a beginner. The p71b is almost the same model as the p45 so that sounds like the best deal. You can get a better sustain pedal than the included one for <$15.

A few years ago I was looking at digital pianos in the $500-$650 price range and came to the conclusion that the Yamaha P45 was the way to go. I'm looking to buy more seriously now, and times change. Have there been any recent releases that are a better recommendation? Thanks!

The Yamaha P45/P71 is still an excellent introductory piano. You can get a whole set with a bench and a stand for ~700. The only competitor at this price range would be the Roland FP-10, but Yamaha is the more popular option. Slightly more expensive is the Yamaha P125 which if you can afford would be a better option. But with the stand and the bench you're looking at spending around +$350 more

I am in the market for a beginner piano for my daughter. I was suggested P45. Today I see Yamaha p71 on Amazon prime deals.
Is P71 similar to P45? I read that P45 has better keys ? Can any one confirm. Will I regret if I went with P71!?
Sorry I don't have much idea about pianos, need one for my daughter asap.

The Roland is already a better deal - getting a decent stand (not an unstable X-style one) is ~$100. Not to mention costco's return policy. And it's a better action.

Easily the Roland. Although the P71 at $400 is a great prime day deal, the FRP-1 bundle is definitely worth the $150 extra. IMO the FP-10 has: Better key feel (Ivory Feel vs P71 glossy feel), better action (PHA-4 vs GHS), and 3 sensor key detection vs 2 Although the FP-10 is technically better in almost every category, the PHA-4 feels a bit heavier which some may or may not like. I'd recommend going to a guitar center or a local music shop and playing around with both actions.
