What is the fastest way to clean your yard?
Always begin by removing large debris, leaves, and branches from your lawn to make room for the rest of your lawn maintenance checklist. Move on to mowing, weeding, and edging in the spaces between your lawn and garden. Lastly, clean off all hardscapes, porches, and patios for a fresh and tidy appearance.
How do you clean an overgrown yard?
The best way to clean an overgrown yard is to create a multi-stage game plan, from clearing out the debris to cleaning up the edges around hardscaping and landscape curbing. Get rid of yard debris like worn furniture and broken tools first, then start trimming and raking what’s left. Mow the grass, trim the hedges, and rake leaves away. Once that’s complete, move on to more detailed work, like pulling weeds and replanting gardens.

What is the average rate for yard cleanup?
Normal rate for landscapers’ spring clean-up?
I own a small business selling tropical houseplants and providing interior landscaping services for offices and homes. I had a customer contact me asking if I can trim some shrubs, rake leaves and clean up their garden. They are providing all tools as well.
I said sure I can come out and see how much work need to be done and give you a quote. My only issue is, I have no idea how much the going rate is for these services. The yard is small as we live in the city and they don’t have grass for the most part. What would you charge for these services or even a ball park range?
We bought our first home a few months ago in a relatively HCOL area. We have a nice sized fenced-in backyard (guessing around 5000 sq ft) and all along the edges of the yard and creeping over the fence is a ton of overgrowth: ivy, weeds, dead plants. It’s been overgrown for so long, trapping water, killing everything in its path. We have lots of gnats flying around constantly and the nearby woodland creatures love to use our yard as their feeding grounds and toilet, which wouldn’t be such a huge deal to us but we have two dogs who like to get into everything. We’re completely new to yard work and i know it would take us weeks during our free time to clean it up. And it makes it really hard to enjoy the lawn.
Anyway, we had a landscaper come look at the yard and he said it all needed to be pulled and cut by hand, and they’d handle all disposal.
TLDR landscaper quoted us at $1900 for his crew to clean the overgrowth in our yard all up and lay down new mulch, plus disposal, not including tax. It is a lot of work but I thought I’d ask reddit if this seems outrageous or reasonable?
