I have something similar. My parcel has been sent to my local depot three times, on each occasion, the webpage tracking has been updated with 'Parcel misrouted being redirected'. So it goes back to the National Hub. Yesterday it arrived at the Aberdeen Depot, which is 550 miles directly from the correct depot by road. With the same message, 'Parcel misrouted being redirected'. I was told that morning that it was on its way to the parcel shop, to arrive on that same day! When I rasied this with Yodel, I was first told to wait 48 hours. When that didn't happen, I was told that they are investigating and will get back to me in 24 hours, each day they say the same thing. It's tiresome. They haven't actually sent me any messages to update me despite telling me they would. I have had to chase them on the web chat for updates, with responses that are a repeat of the day before, to wait 24 hours and it is out for delivery and on its way to the parcel shop to be delivered that day . They don't seem to have much in the way of accurate location of a parcel, nor the concept of scheduled deliveries between the National Hub and the depots. Whatever is going on with Yodel , it appears to be chaotic and an unreliable service to use. I don'ty know why the Vinted seller had only Yodel and the delvery service and I did baulk at the notion of going ahead with the purchase with Yodel being the only option... I'm not asking for gps location of each parcel, but if a parcel has been scanned and stuck on the back of a lorry, surely they know where that is going to? And when it is expected to arrive? Standard sorting times, standard depot to parcel shop schedules or even non standard. They have to have some sort of logistics monitoring? Surely? Answer from MrRicoRi on reddit.com

I have purchased some shoes on Friday 15th and seller posted them same day as I really need them before Friday 22nd. She messaged me and said that the delivery would take approx 2-3 working days. However, when I track it on the yodel app it says it’ll arrive by Friday 22nd which is already to late. Do they usually deliver before the expected date? According to the tracking app it’s on transit to my local depot. Has anyone experiences long deliveries with them?

I am currently buying and selling with Yodel, I always sigh when I see something will be delivered or sent with Yodel as I know they take so long to deliver (or to not deliver), but I have to use them as they’re the only drop off point in my area (I live rurally). I ordered this top a week ago, the buyer sent it out last Saturday and it still hasn’t been delivered, when it was meant to be delivered from Wednesday to today. I’ve also sent out a coat where the tracking hasn’t updated in 2 days. I much prefer InPost and Evri as they’re quicker in my opinion.

Yep been waiting 26 days for a parcel by yodel, it never came.! So it’s apparently been less days due to them calling it business days. I’ve been waiting ages for some cool goth punk boots, me and the seller have been back and forth to yodel, they said they can’t do anything absolutely bs. Don’t mind me venting 😂

I bought an item off EBay on the 30th, and seller dispatched on the 2nd. Since the 4th, yodel has had the item, not even providing a delivery date. The maximum delivery date on the listing was the 7th. I’ve tried their web chat multiple times as I needed this item quite quickly, which is why I bought from eBay instead of AliExpress, but whenever I log in to the web chat it tells me to wait for a human and eventually signs me out.

Anything I can do??

At what point should i start to get worried. Its been "at your local depot" since 2am and while it still says its estimated to be delivered today, it hasnt gone "out for delivery" yet. Just thinking at 14:47 and its still not out for delivery, its starting to not look good to be delivered today.

Edit: Straight after i posted this its changed to show a map. No other information has changed other than a map which is focused on my house.

Edit 2: Now the Yodel tracking website has the 502 Bad Gateway message. Good times.

Update: 16:28 and still says that its going to be delivered today but it hasnt yet changed to "out for delivery". Last update is that it arrived at my local depot at 2am.

Update 2: 17:04 and its still says its being delivered today but it still isnt "out for delivery". Spoken to the webchat and ill they can say is that it says it will be delivered today... not looking good.

Update 3: Its changed to out for delivery and i have a delivery slot! Its finally happening.

Yodel have had my package for 2 weeks now. It's been out for delivery twice and back to the main sorting hub twice. Yesterday, their customer support promised it would arrive that day. It did not. Sigh. How are these incompetent idiots still in business?

Update: They have finally admitted that they have lost it. They are now "searching" the depot for it. I won't hold my breath 🤣

has anyone on here ever successfully had a parcel delivered by yodel? they have apparently been attempting to deliver my parcel for a week now except ... i have been home every time and no delivery driver came near.

at first their excuse was they couldn't find my address (a flat which is on a main road with clearly signposted street numbers and flat positions) and now they're saying no one was home. they also refuse to deliver the parcel to the nearest yodel store which is an approx 30 second walk from my address.

do they do silent deliveries with invisible delivery drivers? do their drivers get extreme stealth training? ANY advice on how to possibly get my parcel from them?

Just a rant!

Yodel’s tracking keeps asking for “more information on the address,” whilst yodel team keep replying to my emails every other day with the same line: 'It will be out for delivery soon.”

So for background, I live in a small town and my house number is literally pinned on Google Maps. It’s on the main road, directly opposite a mega store, and I get deliveries every single day from pretty much every courier out there with zero issues. I even have free offstreet parking with multiple spaces available at all times.

Honestly, I don’t know what more I can do to make my address 'deliverable.” ?

Fyi: I awaited the entire of today because the tracking said “out for delivery - at the door,' and the day went in vain.

Ps: This is not my first rodeo with them, and every other previous deliveries have been just as horrendous! They either take forever to deliver or lose the parcel or lie and state 'Sorry we missed you!.'.

What Time Do Yodel Deliveries Stop | Procura Pack – ProcuraPack
April 16, 2025 - Delivery speed is influenced by the retailer's dispatch time, so delays in sending the parcel can also affect when it arrives. Yodel does not allow customers to request or book a specific delivery time slot. The delivery time is based on the courier’s route and is not adjustable by the recipient.

Hey Cardiff people,

Just wondering if I am having a crazy case of bad luck, or if there is something going on with Yodel Nant Garw depot?

I have 3 parcels that are in or around there. One has been lost and they can't provide any updates, the other has been in the depot for close to 5 days without moving, and the last seems to be lost as well.

Anyone else having issues?

Update: As of 30th September Yodel have replied "Unfortunately, we were unable to deliver your parcel. It is being returned to sender".

That would be great and all. But if you can't deliver it to me, how in the hell are you going to return it to the sender!

r/AskUK on Reddit: Yodel isn't even trying to deliver my parcel. Has anyone had success when dealing with them?
March 20, 2021 -

I know this is a recurrent topic on this subreddit. I have read old posts and none were helpful.

I've been trying to get a parcel from Yodel for the past week. I stand outside when the driver is supposed to be coming close to my delivery and the page just updates to "you weren't at home", "couldn't access property", or "couldn't find address". They have delivered to the same address in the past with no issues and I gave them extra instruction on how to get to the property.

I try their phone line, it is just a robocall with the same information as the tracker. The chat keeps saying they have raised with the depot and that they will try again, but nothing really changes.

Has anyone had success in a similar case? Did you receive another phone number or email where you could speak with someone that can actually do something?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Exact same issue, I harassed them on all fronts. The web chat is shite, agreed. You can actually speak with a real person, if you call and when it asks if you recieved a calling card you say yes. It then asks for an eight digit number to be spoken or typed. Type 0000 0000. It'll fuck around a little, and after it's spoken/ tried to block you, press 0000 0000 again. Mash and repeat where needed, but this should get you dialling through to an actual human after the second go. I did this on Wednesday of this week, so it still works. The person on the phone will give you nonsense about 'the GPS says..' - just be polite, and inform them that it's fine, but if it isn't delivered they will pay the cost. I had added instructions added to the parcel, and when it eventually arrived on it was written: 'MUST BE DELIVERED ON 18/03/2021' - so they obviously took note. I then called my supplier and let them know about the issue and that of course they would have to refund me if it didn't arrive (my issue was that inside the package were live plants - which really did HAVE to be delivered that day. They were really great, and added a bit of harrassment of their own to Yodel. The driver arrived the next day, got out his car, looked around dumfounded, and went to get in his car and drive away. I ran out to catch him in time and fortunately got my package. I really wish sellers would just front the extra cash to avoid companies like Yodel and Hermes. It really shouldn't be this convoluted to get a package delivered...

Definately complain to the supplier you purchased from and be sure to tell them that you'll refuse to buy from them again if they continue using such a shite delivery service.

r/britishproblems on Reddit: Yodel not delivering packages
November 22, 2024 -

I have had some issues with Yodel lately. It's one of the only delivery companies I've had issues with because all the other delivery companies I've had my parcels with have always actually delivered them (I have a good experience with Evri too since my local courier is really good). The only company I've had issues with seems to be Yodel. I ordered a parcel off amazon in late December which came via Yodel and arrived - that was my first recent time ordering a parcel coming via Yodel, so when a parcel I ordered in mid January from amazon was coming via Yodel I thought nothing of it, that's until it is now completely frozen since the 21st January (just constantly says "We have your parcel."). My parcel was due on the 5th February, I received an email from the amazon seller saying they'd refunded me since they'd been informed by Yodel that the parcel had been "lost", how does one lose a big cardigan?! (Yes, I ordered a thick cardigan.) It's now February 8th and no updates on yodel and I don't think the package will be coming, especially since the seller and amazon have both told me that it's been "lost". The problem is, I actually still want the item so I've reordered, not dispatched yet, but I'm really hoping Yodel will not be the delivery company (it probably will be though because amazon packages from China often seem to be...) and the cardigan is quite popular and is selling out everywhere, especially the colour I want (the only ones I can find not sold out now are drop shipped ones for about £60 when I can buy for £20 on amazon), so I'm really hoping it's not Yodel. But also, I ordered something on ebay a week or so ago which was received by Yodel on the 31st January, it has said "We have received your parcel" ever since the 31st and has not changed at all, it's not due until 21st February but based on my current knowledge I'm honestly doubting the parcel will even reach me at all.

Has anyone else had any problems with yodel? Or know if any my parcels will actually arrived - since the one in January actually did, so I know it can, but the fact that 1 out of 2 yodel packages so far got "lost" it seems unlikely. (For context I've ordered over time about 100 packages via Evri and only one got lost and it was tiny package, as well as the fact it did actually reach me. And Royal Mail, UPS, and Amazon have always got my packages to me.)
