“You” TV series is a psychological thriller worth watching
You (Netflix) is extremely worth the time investment. The second season is Netflix produced is even better than the first.
Agree, really enjoyed it and like the deviation from the book (Hidden Bodies) too. The actress who plays Love is fantastic.

This series is classified as a crime, drama, thriller, but it has enough horror elements to keep a horror fan entertained.
I came across “You” on Netflix today (there’s only one season so far) and looked it up on IMDB. It’s based on a book, which I’ve read is quite creepy. It has a 8.1 user rating which sold me on giving it a shot. The first season was developed by Lifetime, which turned me off a bit, but I decided to watch anyway.
I really, really like what I’ve seen so far. I’ve almost binged all 10 episodes today. It reminds me a lot of Dexter (in the early seasons) when it was very dark and creepy. In fact, the main character narrates like Dexter and I think their voices are eerily similar.
Without giving too much away, the show follows a disturbed guy who meets a woman and becomes obsessed with her. But this isn’t your cliche situation where stalking ramps up super fast and it all comes to a head during a thunderstorm. Much like Dexter, the main character Joe is smart and calculating.
The 2nd season is being developed by Netflix so I’m hoping that means boundaries are pushed a bit more. Although it already has some fairly adult material for being on Lifetime(?) I guess. Anyway, good show so far!
Has anyone else watched it? Have any of you read the book?
*Edit: Decided to check out the trailers to see if they’re a good representation of the show. The lifetime trailer feels very Lifetime but the Netflix trailer is a better representation. Yep I’m excited it’s being taken over by Netflix so it can steer into darker territory and less romance.
