My fave video is their icecream tutorial probably! I like that they made it so easy to understand :) so if you like drawing but don't know how to draw a lot of things, this will cheer you up! They also have Disney drawing tutorials so you can draw Ariel and Belle and stuff!

Hi all. I’m hoping to find some online classes possibly or some YouTube channels that help kids learn different art forms! Ideally something that has a purchasing list that we could get ahead of time and work together on or they could do independently. Looking for something beginner friendly so not too hard but not for toddlers necessarily either.

Bob "F@cking" Ross! He's great for teaching patience, acceptance, problem solving, and technique for landscape paintings. Love that guy! My grade 4 teacher, for art class, had a project for us kids. She cut an Incredible Hulk comic cover into about 20-30 pieces (about 2"sq, I think) and numbered them. She had us all choose a piece out of a hat. We were then painting the piece of the cover we chose on a 12"sq white piece of construction paper and numbered the back of our paper with our choice. I loved it! Some of us finished our pieces a little quicker than others and got to go up for another piece to paint. A few of us must have painted about 2 to 4 pieces. Then, when all the pieces were done and dry, we put them together in numbered order to create a huge Hulk Cover! You could tell the more talented kids pieces for sure, but it was still really cool!

I think of Mark Crilley, Paul Priestley, Jazza and Brad's Art School for many ages. Much of their lessons are simple that teach the basics of drawing that is applicable throughout. They have their own teaching style to try to learn what is suitable for one's learning. I'm interested in this, since I'm working on refining the basics.

We do Art Hub for Kids on YouTube. They are all just one off videos but they have a good progression of skills. I have to be about choosy when offering options to my kid to make sure it's in range with his abilities. They offer mostly drawing, but some painting too.

Honestly for the little ones, unless they're showing extraordinary talent and need detailed technical teaching, I can't go past Mister Maker or the OG, Art Attack.

My kid who is absolutely crazy for creature cases was SO excited when we found this how to draw Kit Casey video on YouTube! It looks like they have a whole series of how to draw videos. Are there other shows with how to draw videos? Because now he is obsessed and will probably finish all of the creature cases ones today 😂

Not sure what age your kiddo is but my little guy likes the channel Art For Kids Hub on YouTube. Lots of variety of things to draw from holiday themes and famous characters from video games and TV. It's a pretty fun family based channel. Dad and one of his kids draw a picture together and it's done step by step and easy to follow along with.
