I Read Stories To People on YouTube (Audio)
Youtube Audiobook for an adult who hasn't read since HS
read aloud books on youtube.
Reading books in front of the kids makes it easier to make adjustments for students or allow them to ask questions. Kids also like the attention. You can use YouTube videos as well to show them different resources that they can use at home. Also, check out the PBS "Big Ideas Little Kids." It talks about teaching philosophy to kids using books. https://www.pbs.org/video/wgby-documentaries-big-ideas-little-kids/

I (F29) can count on one hand how many books I've read since high school and need something easy to get me back in the game. My most recent reads have been 1984, the Silo Trilogy by Hugh Howey, and City of Ember (though it was much too childish for me, I still enjoyed it).
I don't like politics or novels where the romance scenes are front and center. I'm looking for something with a strong female lead, heavy on the self improvements, maybe some kind of disaster setting, wilderness survivalist, or post apocalyptic setting.
