I clicked on a search engine result in Firefox (android) for a YouTube video. It usually asks me if I want to open it in the YouTube app or not. I must have accidentally clicked no, or never, as it will no longer ask me this and all videos just open in the browser now.
I've been through the settings, but don't see any specific site setting for this. I've even set "open links in apps" to always but it still opens YouTube in the browser.
Any ideas how I can reverse this?

Have you checked Android settings > apps > YouTube? There should be a defaults section where the toggle to open links in the app might be toggled off.

I've even set "open links in apps" to always but it still opens YouTube in the browser. Open YouTube and use the icon next to the address bar to Clear cookies and site data. If the problem persists, please log in to Bugzilla and pick the Report a new bug in a Mozilla product → Android option: screenshot . Mention what device you use.

As much as we complain, YouTube Premium is the best experience available on any platform/ecosystem by far. (YouTube No ads, YouTube Music No Ads, YouTube background play/PIP on mobile devices, YouTube Download Videos offline + now the YouTube Videos Auto Suggestion Skip ahead feature) it’s a no brainer for $13.99 a month or even less for a year subscription (def do the one time year payment to save a little!) IMO YouTube is sooo much better than watching TV shows and movies anyways. The possibilities to discover great content for everything you’ve ever enjoyed is pretty much endless. I also appreciate that YT Music/Google actually pays their artists decently compared to the evilness of Spotify in that category, STILL in 2025! & If the price for this amazing premium bundle stays the same for the next 5+ years it will only get bigger as every other streaming service raises there monthly subscription.
