I got logged out of Youtube TV on my TV, and it wants me to open my Youtube app on my phone to verify. When I open the Youtube app I don’t get a prompt. If I try to log in to the Youtube app, it doesn’t have my account. When I try to add it, and I try to log in, it brings up the google log-in inside of the Youtube app. When i try to log in on that screen, it tells me I need to open Youtube. However, i’m already in Youtube. How can I get around this? It doesn’t give me an option to send a code to my phone or email instead. At this point it might be a question about logging into Youtube in general
I am having multiple incidences of having to sign on to YouTubeTv when it should only be necessary when first installing the app on the tv. This involves different brands of tv's (Samsung, LG, Sony) along with some Tv's with a Fire Stick interface. One time I switched to a different streaming service and came back to YouTube and the sign on screen was gone but that isn't working now. If I unplug the TV, it seems to recover normally but that isn't practical as 2 are in a cabinet and the plug not easily accessible. I have cleared cache but doesn't help. This obviously is a YouTube problem. Anyone else experiencing this? I'm ready to jump ship and switch to another streaming service.
I am on the verge of cancelling Youtube tv as it is constantly making me log in. I have to select sign in, connect my phone to the same network, THEN go to settings on my phone, Google, security, get a 1 time code , get a pencil as the code is too long then go back to the original screen and enter the code. I can understand an occasional login requirement but not every day and sometimes twice in 1 day. It used to make me authenticate appx every 2-3 months which I totally get. But this is rediculous and frustrating. Anyone else experiencing this?
