I'm trying to cancel my youtubetv account as it's necessary to help fund my daughter's new driver's insurance. I'm following the instructions from Google search and I keep winding up back at the start. It's like a virtual DMV. Funny how it takes next to nothing to sign up for it, but canceling? Not so much. Can I get real instructions from someone that won't force me to change payment to a credit card with no credit?
Edit: the consensus seems to be that I cancel through the website only with a computer.
Consider that despite signing up with the service through my google acct on my phone only needed my thumbprint.
For me to cancel I now have either use my computer at work or take my laptop running with a Linux os, completely independent of google, to untangle myself from a service that didn't initially even want to cancel but had to, due ti financial obligations.
Also- I love that preventing identity theft seems to be much enforced when it's time to cancel. The thumbprint isn't enough smoke security now. I guess one never knows if a scourge of dubious hackers steal identites...
...so they can cancel people's cable subscriptions ...mu hu hu ha ha!
To those well meaning folks who say I just have go to manage google account then manage subscriptions, I've done all of that multiple times having 8 chrome windows open on my galaxy s22.
I am far from a techy person - believe me - but I have been able to tinker with laptops to allow experimenting with installing and uninstalling different operating systems for funsies. And yet they are still operational, so I think I'd get one task accomplished.
Started a 7day trial for an add-on, but don't want to keep it.
When you cancel the trial, is it immediate, or you keep it for the full 7 days?
TIA.
