Hey Guys, I was a YouTube vanced user for years until my YouTube stopped working and playing videos all together.

Has any apps been released to replace Vanced? Or has devs found a way to make Vanced work again

My friend told me that I could download an app off the Google Play store called "YouTube Vanced" that allowed me to bypass ads and listen to videos even with my screen turned off. It's one of the reasons why I switched to Android.

It would appear that app has been removed from the store for obvious reasons.

Do you know of an app that would accomplish the above-listed things?

I post this because people are sharing unofficial versions of vanced which could be viruses. So mods please don't delete this

I went searching for an update or newer version and found revanced thankfully. I am sad to uninstall the vanced app I've used for so long but, I'm very greatful that there is already a revanced app available. The only difference I've noticed so far is the section that has the "shorts" is not there. I'm sure the amazing devs who provide these awesome apps will develop and provide an updated version that will have thr "shorts" section available. If not that's fine as well I'm cool either way.

I want to say thankyou for the awesome software.

Now I'm off to figure out what I need to download and do to be able to use the download feature.

Hi, I enjoyed using Vanced and Revanced but when I changed my phone it didn't work on my new phone. when I try to watch a video it work for 2 seconds then the video keep loading continuously. do you have any fix for this or another app like Vanced?

I have YouTube Vanced version 17.03.38 and YouTube music version 4.64.51 and both work great, thankfully they haven't broken yet except the only issue I'm having is with YouTube and I can't watch regular full length videos because it tells me to "upgrade to a newer version of YouTube", i can watch YouTube shorts and only once in a while when i check am i actually ablento watch regular videos. I've had no issues with Vanced YouTube music. If there's something out there that's pretty similar UI wise for Vanced YouTube, I'm just not really comfortable downloading ReVanced for some reason.

Can someone send me a safe site? There's some in the search of google but idk which one is safe to download, thanks in advance.

I'm looking for an app with the same functionality as the aforementioned YouTube Vanced. I know YouTube Revanced, but the it says on it's GitHub page that it's no longer maintained.

When looking for alternatives on sites like AlternativeTo, I see a bunch of freemium apps (which I don't want), NewPipe and VuTube. The problem with both is that they don't support logging into a Google account, which means no subscriptions, notifications, etc.

For a basic, ad-free YouTube client, I could use Mi Video, but it doesn't have SponsorBlock.

I am looking for Youtube Vanced alternative with the same features as background play and auto play.

Saw some videos talking about youtube vanced and its function to let you watch videos without ads. I looked it up and read some reddit threads if it's safe but they're already 2 years old so I just wanted to ask again.

I was using an old version of YouTube Vanced when it stop working after the videos started showing that I need to use the lastest version of YT to play it. After that I started using the official ad version of YT till I found this new YT Vanced version in a yt video that I was watching.

Edit 1: Multiple users have said that this might/maybe malware which can be used to steal data from my Google account. I have been using this apk for last 26 days and haven't felt like it has hacked my phone or stole my google data. But still after reading some comments I am uninstalling this apk. Someone in the comment said to use ReVanced so I am downloading that. Do tell me is that's alright to use or not. And if not then suggest me some legit alternate to Vanced.

I downloaded YouTube Vanced and none of the videos can be played. It shows this screen and redirects to YouTube App on Store. Any solution how I can get Vanced YouTube running?

If it helps- YouTube Vanced version- 17.03.38 which is the latest one.

Can someone recommend an app that is actually reliable?

So the original YouTube Vanced client got shut down not long ago, and a friend of mine suggested I use Vanced V2, an unofficial reboot of the original, but I know its not uncommon for malicious people to use the likeness of a safe and reputable app or service to fool people into installing malware, and I feel like this is no exception. What does Reddit think, is this safe or should I look elsewhere for a YouTube client?
