I think you're a bit confused, and I have some useful tips here for you. The best method is to download the latest yuzu version from Github. Then download an app called Obtainium, which scans Github for latest versions - https://github.com/ImranR98/Obtainium (obtainium can be used for any github app, not just yuzu). Add the Yuzu github link to obtainium and it will advise when there's a new version of Yuzu and you can simply click to download it, and it'll update Yuzu for you. You do not need to backup firmware, keys or saves at any point - updates to Yuzu do not delete old settings, files etc. You do not need to use play store version, nor pay for early access (although it's nice to support the devs who are doing brilliant things, and should be supported if possible).
