Ok so I'm in the process of picking the parts for my first ever PC build. Decided to go with Intel i5 13600k and DDR5. The issue I'm having is choosing the proper motherboard.
I've looked all over online and seen different reports on each motherboard and still can't differentiate what would be best for me. I don't plan to overclock but I would like to undervolt (if that's possible) because I've heard that they run pretty hot and I'll only be running an AK620 air cooler inside of a Meshify 2 Compact.
I'm just curious as to what the best bang for my buck motherboard would be at this stage. I'm looking to spend MAX $250 and don't want to cheap out and buy something not great. And I live near a Micro Center so if anything I'd be willing to pay $30 to have them do the bios flashback for me (if needed). I've been eying the MSI MAG B760 Tomahawk Wifi DDR5 but with B760 boards being new and all I'm not too knowledgeable on all of the risks/negatives associated with them and would really hate to have to assemble everything and then find out it it's crap.
I'm not really too familiar with VRMs and all that but I've read it's pretty important to find a mobo with good VRMs. I'm just looking for some insight as to what the best option for me would be because I can't seem to find it on my own. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

13600k (no overclocking) paired with a b760 mobo?
B760 Vs Z690 / Z790
The main reason to get a z790 over a b760 is for overclocking. If you don't plan to overclock, there is little benefit to the z790.
