I read the multiple posts recommending the Zara midi draped knit dress in this sub and naturally had to check it out for myself. I feel like the daughter of Aphrodite herself in this but I need your help. Do we like it better with the belt or without? Also, I’m wearing this to a family get together and would like to add a casual touch with a cardigan or shrug. I feel like us SD look our best in dresses but it can be difficult not to appear too showy or formal. What are your recs to complete this look?
Tl;dr Looking for dress ideas for 20yo daughter walking me down the aisle, $200ish
I'm getting married on Jan 4 in Tidewater VA. My 20-year-old daughter will walk me down the aisle. Since this is a second wedding, there will be no other attendants. My dress is pretty traditional, but simple: full length, no train, sleeveless, no beading, some embroidery. Fiance will likely wear a black velvet jacket with coordinating pants. Despite these details, nothing else with be formal.
The ceremony will take place in a historical site in the evening but we may take some outdoor photos before it gets dark. We'll be in a brewery for a very casual reception after, but we won't change.
We don't want something that looks too bridesmaid-ish because we want find a dress that she might wear again, but something that is still suitable for a wedding. Not too formal. Her style is kind of boho, and I am open to almost anything that she finds. No colors are off limits and small patterns, florals would be fine. I don't think anything abstract or incredibly busy would be really appropriate for the venue. Looking to spend about $200. Ideas? Thanks!
