I just went to go use my Zygo again after switching to Pilates for a few months. It worked poorly for the first charge, and then spiraled into not working at all. My assumption is that the battery is shot. I would say I've used this less than 20 times, maybe even 10 times over the last year and a few months.
I looked for updates about how the product worked after a while when I wanted to buy it and couldn't find reports, so I wanted to post the status of the product a year on for others. I did contact customer service and they said I need to buy a new one (they did provide a 20% discount). Their warranty is 6 mo.
Overall the sound quality is good for this product, but you can't listen to podcasts or books like they advertise (and the reason I bought). There's too much noise from the water plus it just isn't loud enough or clear enough. It also cuts out here and there on the regular, so fine for music but not something where you need to follow the story.
I like where this product is going but $300 for this quality is incredibly disappointing. I wish I had never bought it.
Has anyone bought the new Zygo headphones? I keep waiting for them to be available, and the instructions are always to pre-order with delivery in May, then June, and now they are saying July. Has anyone actually received delivery of them yet?
I'm looking for a pair of swimming headphones, and the streaming option makes the Zygo Z2's very appealing. I don't want to mess around with loading files or not having my albums play in the sequence I want.
However, I can't seem to find a single independent 3rd party review of the Z2s. Is that a red flag? There's a couple reviews that were clearly written by the Zygo marketing team, stuffed with effusive language and branded marketing materials. And there's another review that's obviously AI drivel, and doesn't review anything.
Has anyone used them? They're very expensive, and I trust that the streaming system works, but does anyone have any feedback on the audio quality? Are they at least comparable to something like the Openshockz? Are they comparable to the other bone conduction swimming headphones on the market?
Thanks
I have a Zygo zy100. Usually it works well, but occasionally the audio is so choppy that it can't be listened to. I opened the app to check if there is newer firmware, but nothing happens when I tap on the firmware link. Any suggestions besides emailing support? The phone, transmitter, and headphones are fully charged. Audio plays fine through my phone speakers.
Was wondering the exact same thing. You are not alone.
Be interested to know if you find a fix. I considered getting one of these, but I tried another bone conduction MP3 player first, glad I did as I wasnt impressed with the sound. I have also seen a number of people posting issues they've had with the Zygos.
